Eight years since joining the professional ranks of snooker, Englishman Rick Walden finally claimed his first bit of silverware when he beat Ronnie O'Sullivan in the Shanghai Masters final. He also received a massive cheque for £52,000 and conveyed his total disregard for the old adage "save it for a rainy day." Oblivious to the financial crisis hitting the world, Walden has big plans for the cash which doubled his career winnings so far. "I am going to go to Las Vegas with my friends, and I will really enjoy it," he smiled, with a glint in his eye that said one thing, "a great week of debauchery is on the cards."
