As long as you're not Martin Gleeson or any of the other players involved in the England v Wales match this Friday, it's fine to have a bet on it. Gleeson could have done with that pointer a couple of years ago when he got in trouble for betting on a match his team was playing. He has completed a remarkable turnaround from those dark days, culminating with his appointment as England captain for the match against Wales. Gleeson thinks it's just reward for his efforts declaring "I have matured over the last couple of years and I do take a senior role on the training field" – which we suspect involves shouting at the youngsters whilst not doing much running. England will be Glee-ful if they get a convincing win over Wales. 7.30pm SS2
