After the protracted and ultimately failed transfer of Gareth Barry to Liverpool from Aston Villa, the expectation was that Villa boss Martin O'Neill was more likely to give Rafa Benitez a Glasgow kiss than a hearty hug when the two teams meet this Sunday. Having secured the services of his talismanic midfielder - for one more season at least - the Irishman claims he'll be adhering to the old adage "all's fair in love and war" when he greets Rafa. "Will I shake hands with Benitez?” he said, continuing the increasing trend of managers self interviewing, "I am sure that will not be a problem," he offered, knowing that the fans will do a good job of berating the Spaniard instead.
