After seeing Liverpool drawn in what would termed "an easy group" by anyone who doesn't have to spew a series of platitudes to the press, chief executive and Rafa's best friend, Rick Parry claimed that Group D is more difficult than it looks. "There's no such thing as an easy group," insisted Parry before possibly adding "especially when Rafa sends out a team that makes the Belgian league champions look like Brazil of the 1970s." The addition of Fernando Torres' former stomping ground, Atletico Madrid adds some spice to a group otherwise made up of teams that the Reds have got the better of in recent times.
