Warrington moved 6 points away from the drop zone following an impressive display last night against Skelmersdale United. Warrington took the lead on 30 mintues from P. Mitchell, but that was cancelled out less then 60 seconds later as United drew level. Skelmersdale took the lead on the 72nd minute but like before the lead lasted a short time as Fitzsimmonds scored for Warrington to equalize on the 75th minute.

Mitchell then scored what was the winning goal with 2 minutes left on the clock to send Warrington Town upto 19th in the league one place below Skelmersdale United. Warrington will now be looking to make it 3 in a row with a trip to Belper Town on Saturday and victory there would help ignite a push for the play-offs and promotion to the UniBond Premier Division.
