Fans Back Manager
By John P
October 13 2005
A regular visitor to our website took time out of his busy schedule to write a letter to Everton FC, personally to CEO Keith Wyness.

Mr Wyness,
There seems to be an assumption in the media, that there's growing discontent amongst Everton fans, and that we suffer from short-term memories.

Well as an Evertonian, I would like to dispel this myth. The vast majority of the fans back David Moyes and his team whole-heartedly, and appreciate the achievements of David Moyes and his staff in his time at the club.

Negative reaction to his leadership seems to echo from a small minority of supposed fans, who have an effective media to spread "own" personal views, and are only adding to the problems that we as a club are encountering at the present time.

He, who shouts loudest, does not always echo the views and feeling of the masses, and the rantings of a small minority on some independent web sites, do not reflect the views of all true Evertonian's.

It has also come to my attention that Everton Football Club have decided to monitor all unofficial sites, and I hope this action has highlighted the backing from the visitors to these sites for the manager, and I hope this is not a underhanded "Big Brother" operation, aimed at the very customers of the club you represent.

So please make it known to the manager of the club I have supported all my life, that I for one back him to manage our club, for at the least the remainder of his contract, and hopefully beyond!

Nil Satis Nisi Optimum Mr Wyness,

Christopher Lewis
