As the call for Cahill to be rested grows from all over Goodison, it emerged that the Australian International has been called up to an International friendly game, in Holland, against Jamaica. It is understood that due to the lack of games that Hiddink has to get all of his first teamers to play with each other, he asks that all players that are fit to attend.

October 26th Everton will kick off the Carling cup campaign against Boro.

Its early days yet for the Irish International Carsley, but it emerged this week that our fears have come true as Lee may require another operation on his troublesome knee.

Arteta has been ruled out for a long period as he is 'taken out' of the game by Bucharest. The Romanians also resulted in spitting in players faces and received but a yellow card for their animal behaviours as Everton won on the night but lost in aggregate.

After the midweek result boost, Everton fail to capitalise and fall away to Manchester City.
