Reserves At Home To Boro
By Mark Heys
December 5 2005
Bolton Wanderers reserves hope to take control of their floundering season this evening as they face Middlesbrough at the County Ground in Leyland.
The Wanderers second string have lost their last two games against Wigan Athletic and Blackburn Rovers so a win against the Boro would help to put some more pressure on the other struggling sides in the FA Premier Reserve League such as Leeds United and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Opponents Boro currently sit second in the reserve table and a win for them would bring them level on points with the current league leaders Manchester United who are on 25 points.

Last season's corresponding fixture came back in March of this year when Geordie striker James Sinclair struck a consolation goal for Bolton as Middlesbrough ran out 3-1 winners but the game up in the North East saw Wanderers win by the same scoreline thanks to goals from Reda Kribib and a double from Ricardo Vaz-Te.

Coach Jimmy Phillips names a young side for this match with only Polish centre half Jarostaw Fojut having been involved in the first team set up this season.

Bolton Wanderers Reserves: Sam Ashton, Rhys Powell, Danny Stott, Dale Whitehead, Jarostaw Fojut, Bradley Hill, Robert Sissons, Michael Roddy, Johann Smith, James Sinclair, Karl Luisi

Subs From: Mark Charlesworth, Przemyslaw Kazimierczak, Matthew Cassidy, Nathan Wolfe, Sean Mountford

Middlesbrough Reserves From: Knight, Cattermole, Clough, Cooper, Craddock, Fisher, Grounds, Kennedy, A Johnson, J Johnson, Liddle, Owens, Thompson, Wheater.
