Jlloyd Wants More Games

Samuel Wants Games
By Mark Heys April 8 2008
Bolton Wanderers left back Jlloyd Samuel says that he is frustrated at not being able to have a run of games in the Trotters team this season and he has called on his manager to keep him in the starting line up.

The 27-year old defender was expected to get a chance to show what he could do in the absence of the injured Ricardo Gardner but Wanderers boss Gary Megson preferred Matthew Taylor at left back in the game against Aston Villa.

Samuel started the 3-2 defeat against Arsenal and had the misfortune to score a last minute own goal but was then only named as a substitute for the trip to his old club Villa.

"If the manager chooses to play me, I'm sure I will show him what I can do, I know what I am capable of. I think I've done OK when I've come in. The more you play the more confident you become. It's hard sometimes to come in for the odd game and then be dragged out." said the former England U21 international.

Since moving to Bolton as Sammy Lee's first signing last May the player has featured in twenty games overall with fifteen of those occuring in the Premier League.
