Hunt To Make Return Before Season End

Nicky Hunt
By Mark Heys April 2 2008
The shoulder injury picked up by Nicky Hunt in the defeat against Arsenal last weekend was expected to keep the young full back out of action for the remainder of the season but the former England U21 star could still yet return for Bolton Wanderers final few matches.

Hunt came off the bench to replace Danny Guthrie in the second half of the game against The Gunners but lasted just four minutes before going off through a reoccurance of an old injury which has plagued him since midway through the 2002-2003 season.

Tests carried out on the injury have shown that it is not as bad as first feared and the Westhoughton-born defender could be back in action as early as mid-April.

Bolton already have goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen and defender Ricardo Gardner on the long term injury list so news of Hunt's swift return to action will come as a welcome boost.
