Reserves Face Toffees Trip
By Mark Heys March 25 2008
Bolton Wanderers reserves play their penultimate game of the Reserve League season this evening when taking on North West rivals Everton in a re-arranged game at the Halton Stadium in Widnes.

Five points from the last four games has helped Jimmy Phillips side to restore some pride to their season but it has come a little bit too late for them to pull away from bottom spot.

Everton themselves have had a disappointing season and currently sit third from bottom but a point against Sunderland last time out helped them to stop a run of three straight defeats.

Back in October a goal from ex-Swindon Town striker Lukas Jutkiewicz gave the Toffees the points in the reverse fixture at the County Ground in Leyland and one goal could make all the difference again tonight.

Bolton are without Johann Smith who has recently completed a loan move to Stockport County and Mark Ellis is with Torquay United for the rest of the campaign.

Visitors Everton include Portuguese international Nuno Valente and the on-loan Anthony Gardner in their starting eleven but England U17 prodigy Jack Rodwell is away on international duty.
