Blessed with determination, power and pace, he can play as a winger or as an out and out forward as he has demontrated many times for his previous clubs both in league and European competition.
He started out his career with Tonsen United and Skied Oslo before moving onto Rosenberg in 2004 where he helped them to success in the Tipperligen and Norwegian Cup.
Moving to Bolton gives Daniel the chance to try and emulate the likes of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Morten Gamst Pedersen in becoming a success in the Premier League.
He becomes the first Norwegian player to represent the Wanderers in their 130-year history.
