Tubbs Mows Down The Forest
By Mark Heys
December 4 2006
The FA Cup lived up to it's magical reputation yesterday afternoon when it thrust Salisbury City forward Matt Tubbs back into the football limelight.
The skilful 22-year old striker spent two seasons in the reserve team at Bolton prior to being released in 2003 and he has since played for Dorchester Town and Salisbury as well as a number of clubs on trial.

Tubbs struck a wonderful goal in the second half against League One leaders Forest to earn his side a replay at the City Ground for what is undoubtedly one of the finest ever moments in their history.

His man of the match performance will no doubt have made scouts from a higher level take note, but for the moment the man who played alongside the likes of Nicky Hunt and Kevin Nolan is concentrating on helping the Wiltshire club get into round three for the first time ever.
