Aston Villa will travel to the JJB Stadium this evening hoping to build on Sunday's derby-day win over Birmingham. Wigan, on the other hand, are desperate to win in order to cement their place in the top half of the Premiership.

Aston Villa team news: Craig Gardner is likely to start in midfield as Steven Davis has not recovered from his hamstring injury. Olof Mellberg is still battling with his own hamstring problem but O'Leary is likely to stick with the defence that played on Sunday. Milan Baros and Kevin Phillips are likely to start in attack.
Wigan team news: Paul Jewell has been dealt a major blow with the news that Arjan de Zeeuw will miss the rest of the season with a fractured collar bone. Matt Jackson is the only other injury doubt for the Latics.
