VILLA RESPOND TO BAROS RUMOURS
By Ryan Ghee
March 28 2006
Aston Villa have responded to speculation regarding the future of striker Milan Baros. The club admitted that the Czech striker does have a clause in his contract which will allow him to leave but reiterated their desire to hold on to this season's top scorer.
In response to Milan Baros' agent, Pavel Paska, who claimed that Baros could leave the club after the World Cup, an Aston Villa spokeman said, "There is a clause in his contract that, if activated, would represent a massive profit for Aston Villa.

"The reports are a bit misleading. Before anybody gets carried away, we're certainly not looking to sell Milan."

Although neither party has revealed the exact amount of money needed to activated the clause, one of today's national newspapers claimed it is around £13m while another said it is closer to the £20m mark.
