PSV DEFENDER IN TALKS WITH VILLA
By Ryan Ghee
August 29 2005
Reports in Holland are claiming that PSV Eindhoven's highly rated defender Wilfred Bouma is on the verge of a move to Villa Park. The reports say that Bouma has already flown to England for talks and he will undergo a medical this afternoon.
It is not known how much the Dutch defender will cost Aston Villa but it is understood that The Villans have met a minimum fee release clause in the defender's contract.

Speaking to Dutch journalists, Ger Lagendijk, the agent of Wilfred Bouma, said "The chance is 90% that Bouma will leave. We hope to get an agreement with the club today."

Wilfred Bouma, who has three years left on his current contract, held talks with an unnamed Premiership team earlier in the summer but his wage demands proved to be a stumbling block and he chose to remain with PSV.
