Hearts sign another one !
By Ben Dover
September 1 2005
The former Sochaux defender is to be presented to the media at a news conference today. The signing was all but completed on Wednesday, but Hearts had to wait for international clearance in order to conclude the deal.

Tall, 24, had talks with Hearts before the season started, but the club had originally baulked at the player's salary demands.

He becomes the ninth player to arrive since George Burley took over in the summer.

Hearts also signed the Brazilian defensive midfielder Samuel Almeida Camazzola on a season-long loan deal from Juventude on Wednesday.

Major shareholder Vladimir Romanov is responsible for signing the Brazilian, with manager George Burley never having seen the player.

The former Ipswich and Derby manager admits the situation with Camazzola is a little strange but, given Hearts are top of the SPL with a 100% record, he is not too upset.

"It has been a different situation to what I'm used to, but, at the end of the day, I am the manager and have to get the best out of the squad I have," he added.

"So far, it has worked very very well.

"It is not ideal for me, but that is the situation and, if Mr Romanov hadn't been involved with this club, you wouldn't have a strong side like we have at the moment.

"There have been a number of players I wanted to bring in, which hasn't happened and he has looked for alternative ones.

"As with anything, there are a lot of positives and negatives but, as far as my situation goes, it is not ideal.

"But, as I say, you can't knock it, it's going well and certainly the Hearts fans are not complaining and neither are the players."
