More woes for Levein as Scotland draw again.

Scotland boss Craig Levein was left under pressure again with his side only securing another draw in their second qualifier against Macedonia.

Beleaguered boss Levein is clinging to all sorts of straws in the wind to put a positive spin on the two disappointing draws whichScotlandachieved in their opening two games withSerbiaandMacedonia.

He has said about our position in the group;

"I look at the league table and we are two points off the top after two matches and there's 24 points left to play for."

"I am a touch disappointed, but I'm not in any way disheartened.

"If we had won this game, we would have been joint top."

Sadly for the manager we didn’t win, and we are not top of the group! We now have two tough away games coming up, and could be stuck on two points and bottom of the group after the next fixtures! Sadly my glass is not as half full as Mr Levein’s.

As for the fans reaction to the two draws, "I can handle that and I can understand their frustration, but this game is about taking knocks and bouncing back.

"That's what we will do. The pressure is nothing to what I put on myself. I want to do well forScotlandand I want to get us to a major tournament.”

This again is an understatement as the fans were booing him throughout the game and at the end. There was a lack of understanding for the substitution of Kenny Miller by Charlie Adam when the game was crying out for another striker.

His pig headed refusal to pick Jordan Rhodes may come back to bite him, as this is a double whammy. He is losing the Tartan Army over this decision andRhodesmay well have found the space to provide the equaliser we craved.

He now has a month to think over and review what he has to do for the away double header in October. For the sake of the nation I hope he comes up with the right answer and we are still in touch in the group, but I fear the worst!
