Former Walsall keeper Joe Murphy has joined League 2 Scunthorpe United. Murphy has signed a 2 year deal with Irons.

Former Walsall keeper Joe Murphy has joined League 2 Scunthorpe United. Murphy has signed a 2 year deal with Irons.
Murphy spent to spells at Bescot under Paul Merson and now finds himself still in League Two after joining Brian Laws men.
His second spell half way through this season saw him in inspired form look far better than he had done in his first spell.
It was said we tried to sign him for good during the window, but Sunderland were unable to let him go.
The recent departure of Andy Oakes led many fans to hope that maybe Murphy would be the man to take his place.
Looks like it'll be someone else now.
