Scott Dann was awarded a pro-contract in the Summer of 2004. He began to feature in pre-season program due to the Club's lack of cover in defensive positions.

Paul Merson obviously liked what he saw and promoted him to the First Team. Dann's chances of breaking in to the side were never very promising, but he did manage the odd sub appearance and ended the season on loan with Danish outfit Koge BoldKlub. 

05-06 will see Dann facing yet more defensive competition, and it wouldn't be a shock to see him out loan somewhere. 


He is a calm, steady and assured Central Defender. He doesn't panic when on the ball and doesn't look phased when alongside other First Team players.
