TEAM NEWS | TAMWORTH vs WALSALL | PRE SEASON
Tamworth should be ahead of us when it comes to match fitness and being prepared. They have already played a couple of games - one of which was a 5-1 defeat to Wolves. Manager Mark Cooper has been making a lot of changes and will probably do the same on Tuesday. Tamworth fans weren't to happy with their sides 2-1 defeat to Moor Green the other day. Like Walsall, they have a point to prove.
Merse has said he will play Kofi Dakinah from the start. He may choose to play a number of other trialists as well. We can expect the goalkeeping duties to be shared again. We were told Byfield would play on Saturday - but he didn't. Whether he will make an appearance this time remains to be seen.  We have offered him a deal. It's now a matter of if he accepts it and signs up.

SECOND THOUGHTS | MATCH PREVIEW
No one was pleased with the 3-0 defeat away to Chester. Ok, so it's only pre-season - but we do need to build confidence and do need to click as a team.

Saturday was like watching us at the end of the Colin Lee era. Tamworth have already had a hammering this pre-season - they won't want another on Tuesday. They will want to give their own fans something to cheer about. Former Saddler Nick Smith is sure to line up against us after Joining Tamworth last season.
