Kiwi International Mark Paston has been awarded the Number 1 Shirt from the Saddlers. Will he be the man that replaces Jim Walker. The former Bradford Reserve has a tough task ahead of him.

Mark Paston was signed to replace Walsall legend Jim Walker. 

Paston has been given the number 1 shirt. Does this mean he has the edge over fellow keeper Richard McKinney? We will have to wait and see. 

Paston joins the Saddlers from Bradford, where he spent much of the time on the treatment table. 

Paul Merson rates the New Zealand International very highly.  

 

 

We are told that Mark Paston is a goalkeeper that commands his area well. He has a real presence between the sticks. Bradford fans have questioned his cross collecting ability.
