Player attributes

Steve Corica joined the club when they were fighting relegation in 01/02. It took a while for him to get match fit, but he was soon partnering Jorge Leitao up front as the Saddlers sailed there way to safety.

Corica played just behind Leitao, and we at last thought we had the perfect foil for Jorge. He ended the season on a high with 2 goals against Bradford.

02/03 saw Corica being one of our most disappointing players. Fans had been keen for him to sign a new deal, but 2 months in to the season and we could see that Stevie was off the boil. He was being forced to play out wide, which maybe didnt suit his game, but he certainly wasn't the same player he was in May 2002.

He soon lost his place and was in and out of the team all season. He is one of the teams most gifted footballers, and when ever he is in the side he creates chances.

03/04 saw Corica get off to a flyer scoring one of the goals of the season against Albion. Merse and Corica were a dream pairing. But both lost their way.

Corica struggled all season with injuries and didn't get a prolonged run of First Team Football.

Player attributes
Steve Corica is a creative midfielder and a play maker. He isn't blessed with great strength or pace, but his technique is great. He uses space well, and creates chances for others. Corica is suited to playing in the hole.
