Player attributes

Aranalde was signed by Ray Graydon from CD Logrones He has been the first choice left back or left wing back since he arrived, this has been aided by the lack of competition in his position.

He struck up a good understanding with fellow Spaniard Pedro Matias, and during his first season at Bescot he made a good impression

His first ever season in the First Division was littered with Defensive errors, and it seemed that this level may be one step too far for him.

He began 02/03 looking as shaky as he had done throughout 01/02. The lack of competition in his position frustrated some fans who believed he was taking it easy. The second half of the season turned out to be , especially during the crucial run in. His attacking skills were allowed to flourish while his defensive performances improved. He also emerged to be a very good penalty taker, scoring some vital goals for the Saddlers.

03-04 was a disappointing season. The Saddlers got relegated and lots of dodgy Zigor defending didn't help. He even lost his place to loanee Jamie Vincent at one stage.

Player attributes
Zigor Aranalde's attacking abilities vastly outweigh his defensive ones. He is able to glide past opponents and whip in some excellent crosses. His long throws also prove to be a valuable weapon. His tendency to back off and make rash challenges are the only negative parts of his game.
