Hull City manager Peter Taylor has agreed to sign a extension to his contract keeping him at the KC Stadium until 2007. But he also hopes the FA will allow him to keep his part-time role as the England U-21 coach

The Tiger's Boss has decided to end the speculation about his future and will put pen to paper in the next few days to sign a new 2 year deal.

Coming under pressure from the FA to make his U-21 role permanent, Taylor has been stalling on the agreement but has now stated he wishes to stay with the Tigers whether they achieve promotion or not.

From an interview with the Hull Daily Mail at the weekend - "All kinds of people have been coming up to me saying I was going because of all the delays but I never wanted to leave... All the uncertainty hasn't helped anyone, least of all Hull City. I'm absolutely delighted everything has been sorted out and I really can start and build on the progress we've already made"

About his England role, he said: "I've told England that I couldn't let the situation carry on as it had been. I wanted to let people know I am staying at Hull... Hopefully, England will agree to let me carry on with the current arrangement but we will have to see what happens."
