Charlton Athletic vs Liverpool Preview
By Luke Gabriel
February 1 2005
The last time these two teams met it was not a good day for the London side. With a poor start away from home to the season charlton travelled up to Liverpool only to be outclassed and end up losing the match 2-0.
However, at home this year Charlton have remained solid throughout and tested every team that has come to The Valley this season. Charlton will be hoping for a repeat of last years corresponding fixture when a Kevin Lisbie hat-trick gave the addicks all three points in a thrilling 3-2 victory.

Charlton will be high in confidence going into the match after making it through to the 5th round of the F.A Cup for the first time in 5 years. Also the fact that they are in good form coming into the match compared to Liverpool.

Recently Liverpool have not been at their best with new signing Morientes failing to find the back of the net thus far. Liverpool had a poor week last week after being knocked out of the F.A Cup by Burnley they then suffered a defeat at the hands of Harry Rednaps Southampton, giving Rednap his first win as the Saints manager.

I think the match tomorrow will be fiercly contested and that charlton will prevale because of their recent form and Liverpools poor week last week. My prediction for the match is a 2-1 Charlton win.
