With Sundays crunch game at home to Derby fast approaching Billy Davies talks about the injury situations

With Sundays big match against Derby fast approaching Billy Davies is hopeful that key players Graham Alexander and Eddie Lewis will be fit again, but it is looking doubtful.

Alexander limped off last Sunday in the match against Derby with a thigh strain and has yet to train this week but Davies refuses to rule him out:

"He's touch and go at the minute, we've kept him out of training to give him a longer recovery. It's good to have the game on the Sunday because it does give us an extra day to try to get Grezza back and also Eddie.

"I'd say he's was probably 50/50 at the moment."

Eddie Lewis has managed to surprise everyone with his recovery returning to training just two and half weeks after emergency surgery for appendicitis but Davies is still very cautious:

"Eddie's back in training and I think he will certainly make the second leg, that's what we are pushing for anyway. But he is doing some training but Sunday's game might be a bit too early with regards to match fitness but he's back in training, he's joined in on a much lighter note than the rest but he's back, which is good, and we're very confident for the second leg."

As for Callum Davidson he looks set to miss out over the next two games as he recovers from a calf injury, on Davidson Billy had this to say:

"Callum Davidson will be a little bit trickier, in the sense that he is touch and go. he's slgihtly behind Eddie with the regards to jogging and joining in so I would probably say the final would be more realistic if we can possibly get there."
