50 % of the fans who voted in the poll want to see Clarky who scored 17 goals last season and McDonald as the favoured partnership up front. McDonald only managed 2 goals for Motherwell after joining up at Christmas. Over his career he has a goal ratio of 1 goal every 10 games so the fans in who took part obviously feel he has more to offer the team than just goals.

20 % would like to see Clarky link up with new signing Ritchie Foran who has moved to Fir Park from Carlisle on a Bosman.

17 % voted to see Foran and McDonald as the first choice strike pairing.

Alex Burns is the only striker who Motherwell fans don't seem to rate after his poor goal return last season. No one voted to see the veteran paired with McDonald and only 9 % wanted to see him with Clarkson up front. 4 % voted for Burns and Foran together.
