Ali Bernabia has been given the number 8 shirt wilst Niclas Anelka will wear number 39 for the coming season. Paulo Wanchope changes to number 9 whilst Peter Schmeichel takes the number 1 shirt away from Nicky Weaver.
Squad NumbersThe squad numbers for the 2002/03 season have been announced and they see a few changes from last season.Ali Bernabia has been handed the number 8 shirt that had been worn by Jon Macken at the end of last season, Macken takes the number 11. Record signing, Niclas Anelka, will wear the number 39 after he found the number 9 already taken by Paulo Wanchope. Of the other new signings, Sylvain Distin will wear the number 5, Vicente Vuoso number 21, Marc-Vivien Foe number 23, Mikkel Bischoff number 27, Tyrone Loran number 28 and perhaps most significantly Peter Schmeichel takes the number 1 shirt off Nicky Weaver who now wears the number 12.
