The clubs agreed an undisclosed 6-figure-sum for the striker but Chester Manager Keith Curle admits a completed transfer is a long-way off.

Curle said:

"The chairman has spoken to the Doncaster chairman and I've spoken to Gregg's agent but we're a long way apart on personal terms at the moment,"

"I've got a budget to work to and I need a number of players. I want to get what I call my "bread and butter players" in and then we'll see about the icing on the cake."
