Doncaster 2 – 0 Hartlepool
By Nick Raynor April 26 2005
Doncaster Rovers kept a clean sheet yesterday in their 2-0 victory over Hartlepool United.

This was Doncaster’s first home win for 5 games and it kept their faint hopes of playoff glory alive as mathematically, Rovers can still make it.

It was a major dent in Hartlepool’s hopes as goals from Ricky Ravenhill and Leo Fortune-West sealed 3 points for Rovers.

Lewis Guy put a header wide that he really should have scored but on the hour mark, made up for his error by pulling the ball back to set up Ricky Ravenhill for Doncaster’s first.

Hartlepool’s Ritchie Humphreys was unlucky not to equalise for the visitors with a long range effort.

The points were all Doncaster’s when Leo Fortune-West finally forced the ball into the back of the net in the 90th minute after good work from youngster Adam Brown and midfielder Paul Green.

FINAL SCORE: 2 - 0
