Colchester have been on very good form recently winning 3 of their last 6 games, drawing 2 and only losing 1.

That loss was their first match against Brentford where a single Tabb goal on the hour mark left Colchester with nothing to show for their efforts.

Then a 0-0 draw against Port Vale which saw Colchester have Chilvers sent off on 45 minutes but then Port Vale have Cummings dismissed on 68 and Reid on 82 minutes but neither side could capitalise.

Colchester then beat Stockport 2-1 thanks to an injury time goal from Danns followed by a well-earned draw against Sheffield Wednesday despite the U’s goal coming from an own goal.

A routine 3-0 win over Peterborough was to follow before a 1-0 victory over Chesterfield on Monday thanks to a 75^th minute strike from Keith.
