Tim Ryan was the hero. Ryan had a 25-yard piledriver saved by Jones and the resulting corner fell to Ryan and from a similar distance he hammered into the top-left corner to give Rovers a well deserved lead.
Murphy had a header caught easily by Turner before Tim Ryan had another ambitious attempt from 30 yards but this time it sailed over the bar.
Rigoglioso put a half-chance wide 5 minutes into the second period which he will have regretted not doing better with, as on 53 minutes, 10-men Blackpool equalised through John Murphy when he slotted home into the bottom right hand corner from 6 yards.
Penney tried to muster some attacking force by throwing Blundell and McIndoe on but neither could get the winner.
Clarke drilled over the bar with an ambitious 35-yard attempt which was followed by a great McSporran shot which was tipped over by Jones.
Time was running out and Neil Roberts came on for Fortune-West who hadn’t had a chance all game.
McSporran who had been working hard all day had a shot blocked by Clarke, and McIndoe had his shot charged down at the death by Bullock for a share of the points.
