Form Guide: Brentford
By Nick Raynor
March 12 2005
Here’s a look Brentford’s form over the last 6 games ahead of Saturday’s league clash with Doncaster.

Last 6 games: WDLDLW

Brentford’s form may not look that impressive; 2 wins, 2 loses and 2 draws for a team going for a play-off spot but infact, it has.

First was a victory away at Hartlepool in the FA Cup which saw Ross being sent off on 8 minutes and Rankin’s goal on 48 was enough to win it for Brentford.

Next, after being 2 goals down, Brentford came back to draw 2-2 with Southampton in the FA Cup, forcing a replay at Brentford’s place where they hoped they could cause an upset.

After playing 2 FA Cup matches in a row, it was time to play a game in the league…against Hartlepool again where this time, nobody was sent off and Brentford crashed and burned, losing 3-1 despite taking the lead.

Then, despite being 3-1 down against Sheffield Wednesday, Brentford scored 2 goals in the final 10 minutes of the game to share the points.

They then let a lead-slip against Premiership club Southampton in the FA Cup Replay, going out after losing 3-1.

And last week, Brentford were back on form, overcoming Colchester’s challenge and winning 1-0.
