It was the perfect start for Rovers when Greg Blundell scored the fastest goal of the day in just 69 seconds.

Blundell was wide open when Michael McIndoe cut it back to Greg who made to mistake in giving Doncaster the lead.

Oldham will be rueing missed chances as Kevin Betsy and Mark Hughes both missed glorious chances to make the game all square.

Oldham were then made to pay on 81 minutes when Blundell turned provider, setting up McSporran to run past the defence and finish well.

Doncaster were kept on their toes though when on 87 minutes, Scott Vernon headed in for Oldham, ensuring a nail-biting finish but Rovers held on.
