Brendan Rodgers spoke candidly about Liverpool's defeat at Southampton yesterday, where the Saints beat Liverpool 3-1. Rodgers said his side weren't good enough on the day.He said:
“We just weren’t very good, It was as simple as that. If you start games as we started it is very, very difficult at this level to get back.
“We got it back to 2-1 but then conceded another very poor goal for the third goal. If you concede the goals we conceded today it is always difficult to win games.
“We were offensively bright and created chances and could have scored more than one goal but we didn’t defend well enough and you have to give credit toSouthamptonas well.”
