Young players to get their chance
By Mighty Reds September 23 2008
Liverpool are expected to play quite a few youth players tonight in their Carling Cup game against Crewe Alexander at Anfield. Brazilian goalkeeper Diego Cavalieri will definitely play and Emilio Insua, Daniel Plessis, Ngog, Nabil El Zhar and Daniel Pacheco are all hoping to get their chance.

Rafa Benitez said:

“It’s an important competition for us but it’s also one which gives us the chance to use some different players,”

“We have to be careful though. We want to win the game and go on to win the tournament so while we can use some of our youngsters; we need to make sure we get the team right for winning”

There's no way back Tom. No press release, no statement, no transfer coup, you could provide a birth certificate proving you're the illegitimate son of Bill Shankly and Billy Liddell's daughter and all it would do in Liverpool is confirm you're a ba*stard.
