Torres pleased with new song
By Mighty Reds
March 31 2008
Fernando Torres has dedicated his winning goal against Everton to the fans, and says how pleased he was to still hear it at Old Trafford when The Reds were 3-0 down. Torres has become a great hero to Liverpool fans this season after scoring 28 goals and showing great character in his first season in the Premiership.

Torres said:

"It is fantastic"

"For me, Stevie Gerrard is the best player, he is the hero of the fans. So when I hear them sing the song they have for me it makes me feel very pleased.

"Last week against Man United things did not go well for us but even when we were 3-0 down the fans were still with us and I could hear them singing my name.

"As a player that makes you feel really good, to know that you have their support, and for that reason my goal in the derby is for them.

"They were with me when things were going badly so it is good to be able to score a goal that will make them happy.

"It is very important to me that the fans are happy because if they are happy, I am happy."

If a new player can get the Kop bouncing in his first year at the club, thats special.

Think we would find it hard ta find another player with his skill & attitude, so his new song just sums up our Nando.
