Adam Mekki wins the fans voted Man of the Match Award for last weekends 2-1 home win over Guiseley.....

After a full week of voting following Tranmere's much needed home win over Guiseley in the National League last weekend, we can now reveal that the Man of the Match for Tranmere's performance, as voted for by you the fans and readers of this site, was Adam Mekki who was starting his first game back after a lengthy injury spell.

As has been a regular occurence in recent weeks, Rovers fell behind in the first half against the run of play but a great header from James Norwood in first-half injury time earned a deserved equaliser at the break for the home side.  It took until injury time in the second half for Rovers to grab the winner and again it was James Norwood scoring, this time from the penalty spot after he himself had been felled in the area by the Guiseley goalkeeper.

As you can see from the poll below, Mekki took the honour with half of the total vote with James Norwood in a fairly close second place with 31% of the vote after his hard-working, two goal performance.

As a result of the dominance of the leading two players in the poll, only three other players polled any votes for this game with goalkeeper Scott Davies and substitute Ben Tomlinson in equal third place with 8% of the vote each anf Jay Harris polling 4% of the vote in fourth place.

Thanks to everyone who voted in the Man of the Match poll whilst the poll for tomorrow's away trip to Boreham Wood will be available later on Saturday evening so stay tuned to Total Tranmere.
