New goalkeeper signing Scott Davies is excited by Tranmere’s plans and ambitions for the season after signing yesterday on a one-year contract….
After signing for Tranmere on a one-year contract yesterday, new goalkeeping acquisition Scott Davies has been speaking to Tranmere Rovers Player about his decision to join the Club and his feelings ahead of the start of the 2015/16 Vanarama National League campaign.
Davies told Tranmere Player...
"As soon as I met the manager and I knew Tranmere were interested, with the size of the club and the ambitions they've got, it was a no brainer. I think the manager is recruiting the right kind of players who have experience in this league and know how to get out of it.”
“I like to lead from the back, be vocal and help out the back four. But it’s about working as a unit and hopefully the manager can put us together to have a successful season.”
"The main target is promotion and that is the main reason that I stepped out of the League. I feel like I'm coming to a massive club with ambitions to get back to work they belong."
Davies became new Rovers Boss Gary Brabin’s seventh summer signing when agreeing a deal yesterday following James Norwood, Jay Harris, Martin Riley, Lois Maynard, Liam Hogan and Ritchie Sutton to Prenton Park.
