Tranmere's Comedy Club, Wirral Laughin announces two new event dates, the acts taking part and a new partnership.....

 

 

 

 

 

 Wirral Laughin

Tranmere's Comedy Club Wirral Laughin' which began in 2015, stages events on a regular basis and has already run a number of successful evenings of Comedy.

The events are run in association with Carling and Carling British Cider who are the commercial partners of Wirral Laughin' and details of the next show and any upcoming shows are listed here.

All events are held at Prenton Park in the Prentonian Suite, usually in Aldo's Bar.

Next Event - Monday 7th September 2015
 
Headline Act - Gary Delaney:
 
Gary is a regular guest on 'Mock The Week' and has also appeared on 'Dave’s One Night Stand' and on 'Comedy Central'.  He also writes for shows such as '8 Out of 10 Cats' and 'A League of Their Own'.  Gary currently has his own nationwide tour which has been selling out venues up and down the country. 
 
Compere - Jim Smallman:
 
A regular on 5 Live's 'Fighting Talk', Jim can be seen at clubs all over the country, he also owns his own Wrestling Company.
 
Support Act 1 - James Redmond:
 
James is probably best known for TV appearances in 'Hollyoaks' and 'Casualty'.
 
Support Act 2 - Lloyd Langford:
 
Lloyd Langford, has appeared on 'QI' and 'Ask Rhod Gilbert'.

Upcoming Event - Sunday 20th December 2015
 
This special Wirral Laughin' Christmas Event on Sunday 20th December will combine a great night of comedy with a late night bar and disco making it the perfect night out for both a group of friends and work parties.
 
Act 1 - Iain Lee:
 
Iain has been the host of the '11 O'Clock Show' and 'Rise' and is also a Sony Award-Winning DJ who has completed a nationwide tour of his new show 'Iain Lee vs The Radio' which has had rave reviews.
 
Act 2 - John Archer:
 
John Archer is best known for being the first man to beat Penn and Teller on 'Penn and Teller Fool Us' and he is also Tim Vine's support act for his Live Shows.  John has headlined shows across the world including in Las Vegas.  Derren Brown and Dynamo are just two fellow magicians who cite John as the funniest magician on the circuit.
 
Act 3 - Paul Sinha:
 
Probably best known as The "Sinha Man" in the ITV quiz show 'The Chase', Paul is also a very well-established comedian with a number of 5* rated Edinburgh Festival shows to his name as well as the award for best club comedian in the 2014 Chortle awards.  Paul is a massively in-demand comic.
 
Special Guest - Clinton Baptiste:
 
Fresh from his success with both 'Barry From Watford' and his critically acclaimed Edinburgh show 'The Man Called Monkhouse', Alex Lowe brings us star psychic from 'Phoenix Nights' Clinton Baptiste. 
 
Tickets for the night will be priced at just £40 which will include a night of top comedy, drink on arrival, a premium hot buffet, plus late bar and disco. This represents great value for money and is up to a third cheaper than a selection of similar shows in the area.  Doors will open at 7pm and ticket purchase details are listed below.

Good news with that partner, it will create more revenue for club financing and budget and is just the kind of optimistic thing to read about right now, as a bit more money for the transfer window, would strengthen the clubs chances of immediately bouncing back.
