Tranmere take on fellow relegated side Shrewsbury Town at Greenhous Meadow on Saturday with kick off at 3:00pm and will be looking to add their first three point haul of the season to celebrate the recent news of the takeover of the Club.
if bob is out it will make it harder but i fancy us, our formation suits playing away, KO should be a real handful for league 2 defenders, 1-0 the whites
I hope to eat my words but seriously rob, laird back in the side ahead of Rowe. Not just that but Richards and koumas also on the bench. I am concerned to say the least.
I've booked my train ticket.Getting to the ground[although it's quite a way] should be no problem.Getting back to the station could be a bit more difficult.
looking at the coaching staff and manager and some of the players at shewsbury, you could make up an old tranmere team 11 nearly, from danny coyne to simon howath and jlaa, mike jackson, and of course andy robbo
Saw him drop one catch and from my view was at no fault for the goals. Kicked straight out of play once. Not much else to report apart from some good saves. Also who else are we going to play in goal?
I'm disappointed that the team couldn't see the game out, but defending a lead right up into the final minutes is a small positive, albeit not closing it out wasn't.
Good for Bell-baggie scoring, although a little puzzled as to why Bruna couldn't have been subbed on to try and encourage a second goal, but as much as such results wrankle a little in terms of the manner of defeat, there are still some positives and if the team can get a little more cutthroat in front of goal and defend solidly for the full 90+ minutes, results will come and a couple of wins in the next two games and you're right back in the mix.
Then I ate his Liver.......... with some baked beans and a can of coke.
I'd have taken a draw beforehand, but when the ninetieth minute arrived,it was a big disappointment to concede the equaliser. And then......
The turning point for me was when Danny Holmes had to go off. Our back 4 had been excellent up till then, but McDonald came on and unsettled everything. Woodards, who had been MOM up till then, had to go to right back and McDonald's inclusion meant that we were defending much deeper as a result and the offside trap went to pot. If you sit too deep, you invite more pressure and court disaster and so it came to pass.
Fonners has certainly been criticised on the other board but we were all at the other end so I'm not sure whether he was to blame or not for the goals. He was saved by Ihiekwe [sp] who cleared off the line in the first half when he dropped a catch. I was amazed that he made no attempt to thank the latter for saving his error causing a goal.
We certainly need to be fitter. I know Stockton was on his own up front but he ran out of steam quite a while before he was substituted and his lack of pace became pretty embarrassing in that period.
Kirby was-well Kirby. No further comment needed.
Laird was much better than the York game.
If only the ref had blown for full time five minutes earlier[sighs]. When I said that to the Transport Police officer at Shrewsbury station,he laughed heartily and not surprisingly, totally disagreed.

The team need to create more chances before they can be more ''cut throat'' in front of goal. Playing one up front with very little support is not the answer as those who were there will testify.
They should of been down to 10 men ref bottled it!!!
I told my son the reason no one will take fonners is he's@#$%&at crosses and unfortunatly I was proved right
Have to say a joke of a parking system for a new ground we parked in a car showroom forecourt thing and when we walked 15 mins o the ground car park was empty shocking.
Seen our first 3 games now and there has been a steady improvement but we need to find a goalscorer. Cole looked knackered and today's game changed when Baggie went off we lost the threat of pace. Thought Kirby should have been subbed very ineffectual but that has summed him up
No koumas but laird plays that man baffles me, my son said he's a tank on FIFA but I can't see it? Must be my old age!!
dr.death They should of been down to 10 men ref bottled it!!!
The problem was that Baggie got up and didn't roll around. The ref took his time and obviously noted that Baggie appeared to be okay. The tackle was totally out of sync with the rest of the game but it should have been a red card.
Interesting considering all your posts last season on how ridiculous it is that Cole hadn't been selected! Perhaps you now understand why he wasn't picked regularly. As for another goalscorer, I think 'another' is redundant in that statement !
They were 1-0 up till the very last and unfortunately the replacements for the injured didn't cut the mustard on the day. ( and one has been sent packing). 4 minutes changed the general feedback. No one has said how well things went until then. Had we held on, I wonder if performance comments would have been made or are some supporters only interested in a win regardless of general performance?
beb end regular At the end of last season, we wanted Cole to play in place of Jake Cassidy.....alongside RL, not as a lone striker ........entirely different!

The season finished I think on the 3rd of May. Your first post on this site was 19th May 2014. Where and when last season did you say it?
Hoots
