After Tranmere's 1-0 home defeat to Oldham Athletic on Saturday afternoon which severely dented any hopes Rovers may have of avoiding relegation to League Two for next season, Manager Les Parry gave an open and honest view of the game in his post match press conference.....
Parry told Tranmere Player........
"It was after the Lord Mayor's Show. I had an inkling we were going to struggle today. It's well noted in football that after a good performance it is difficult to maintain it. I had a gut feeling we were going to have a difficult afternoon."
"I wish I was standing here saying we'd lost 1-0 but their keeper has made five or six world class saves but I can't. We had a couple of chances near the end but that was it. We're the home side and we should have more chances than that."

"It was a flat first half from both sides. In the second half, especially when we brought Marvin on, we looked a bit brighter for ten or fifteen minutes. Then we died again. You're always going to get chances at the end when the side leading drops off."
"Marvin [Sordell] did well when he came on. He gave us a spark but then we stopped feeding the ball up front and he went out of the game. The other glimmer of brightness for me was Aaron Cresswell who did really well in the first half but he failed to maintain that in the second half."
"I thought we missed Zoom today and that's nothing against Aaron at all. But Zoom causes other teams problems and causes them to sit off a little bit."

Ivvy I think the personal abuse you get is absolutely disgraceful; if it makes you feel better I've also had that abuse for simply making some points others disagree with.
