A seemingly long five days has now passed since the out of the blue sacking of Rovers Manager Ronnie Moore last Friday morning but fans still remain in the dark about what the future has in store for the Club, mainly due to a lack of any concrete communication from the Club since the Official Statement was announced.
Here we try and summarise the events of the past five days as best we can and look into where the Club may be heading based on the limited solid evidence we have available as fans at this time.
Here is how the eventful month of June has panned out so far.....
Monday 1st June
Ronnie Moore makes his first summer signing as midfielder Mark Allott joins on a two year deal after leaving Oldham Athletic.
Tuesday 2nd June
Assistant Manager Peter Shirtliff leaves the Club to take up the Assistant Manager's post under Danny Wilson at Swindon Town.
Wednesday 3rd June
A radio interview sees Moore hopeful that two of his five main out of contract players will re-sign for next season but admitting that he does stand to lose more than he will keep during the summer transfer frenzy - no signs here of what is soon to come.
Friday 5th June (am)
The bombshell that no-one saw coming is announced as Tranmere Rovers release a Statement on their Official Website confirming that Manager Ronnie Moore has been dismissed with immediate effect. In the statement the Club use a 19% drop in attendances over the past few seasons as the reason to suggest the club needs to move in a ‘new direction.'
The statement is also the first time for a long time that Peter Johnson has been referred to as ‘Chairman' of the Club, sparking debate amongst fans about possible investment once again from the owner of Park Hampers.
Friday 5th June (pm)
Unofficial rumours filter through to fans from different sources but most of them saying the same thing - Tranmere's new Manager is to be current Jamaica Manager John Barnes with former Rovers midfielder Jason McAteer as his assistant. Confirmation of this theory from a source close to Jason McAteer follows later in the evening.
After fans meet Ronnie Moore outside Prenton Park later in the afternoon, he seems to confirm the Barnes /McAteer rumours himself and insists in not so many words that the whole thing is a mess.

John Barnes was Touted Early on as the New Rovers Manager!
Rumours that Ian Moore has also left the Club begin to surface as his father appears on Talksport Radio where he expresses his complete surprise at his dismissal from the Club, particularly as he had been at the Club interviewing his potential new Assistant Manager on Friday morning.
Into the evening, confusion still reigns about whether the events of the day are a sign of impending Administration or the complete opposite in the form of a takeover.
Saturday 6th June
As fans wake up to the first full day without Moore in charge, Total Tranmere receives news that Jason McAteer has signed on the dotted line and that Barnes is set to follow suit after Jamaica's friendly game on the Sunday evening.
Confusion still reigns on Rovers Message Boards across the worldwide web about just what the announcement of the day before was really all about as other Managers such as Accrington Stanley Boss John Coleman are also linked with the job by the wider Media.
It also emerges that some time last week a number of staff were made redundant, particularly admin staff as the plot thickens about what is going on at the Club.
