Pre-Season Morecambe Visit Confirmed Once Again!

As expected, Rovers will make their annual pre-season visit to Morecambe FC after the Lancashire Club from League Two confirmed on their Official Site today that Ronnie Moore's men will be visiting, adding to the now fast-growing list of friendly matches ahead of the new season.

As Rovers' pre-season friendly list has grown in recent weeks, many fans will have been asking if the now regular pre-season trip to the seaside to face Morecambe would take place this time around?

Today the answer came as Morecambe FC's Official Website confirmed that Rovers will be visiting on Tuesday 28th July as they do every year.

A few days ago we announced that Shrewsbury Town and Preston North End will visit Prenton Park during the pre-season campaign whilst Rovers will also visit another League Two side in the shape of Macclesfield Town in the build up to the 2009-10 season.

As well as the games so far confirmed there are also friendlies away at Welsh sides Prestatyn Town and Bangor City to be confirmed in the near future, both of which may well be Youth Team friendlies rather than first team ones.

So far Rovers' friendlies for 2009/10 pre-season are....

Fri 10th July - Holyhead Hotspur (A) Kick Off 7.00pm

Tues 14th July - Cammell Laird (A) Kick Off 7.00pm

Sat 18th July - Preston North End (H) Kick Off 3.00pm

Tues 21st July - Southport (A) Kick Off 7.45pm

Sat 25th July - Macclesfield Town (A) Kick Off 3.00pm

Tuesday 28th July - Morecambe (A) Kick Off TBC

Weds 29th July - Buckley Town (A) Kick-Off 7.30pm

Sat 1st Aug - Shrewsbury Town (H) Kick Off 3.00pm
