Tranmere Rovers manager Ronnie Moore has verbally agreed with Stoke City manager Tony Pulis that right back goalscoring machine Ryan Shotton will re-join Rovers in January on loan for the remainder of the season.
Shotton, who has spent three months at Prenton Park has scored five goals during 19 appearances which is impressive for a defender. Shotton's last game for Rovers was playing in the FA cup against Peterborough last Saturday.

Shotton scored his first goal for Rovers away at Huddersfield but will most be remembered for his monster goal at home against Colchester United, scoring a screamer by turning his marker and shooting into the top right hand corner from long distance.
Due to the rules of the loan system, Shotton has now returned to Stoke where he has so far made one career appearance, coming on as a substitute away at Cheltenham Town in the 79th minute in the League Cup.
Ronnie Moore spoke about his confidence on re-signing the young defender on the Sky Sports Website...
"We have agreed with (Stoke manager) Tony Pulis and with the lad about him coming back to us so I don't see there being any problem."
Total Tranmere would like to thank Ryan Shotton for his time at Rovers so far and wish him the best of luck of breaking in to the first team at Stoke during December but also hope he will rejoin us in January.
