Weather Report

Considering its mid-November it wasn't too cold and the game warmed us up anyway.

Crowd

5,019 It seemed like more as the atmosphere was terrific and the fans got behind the team well.

Referee Watch

Craig Pawson (Soutn Yorkshire) - Wasn't really involved until the second half were he seemed to lose his head.  Didn't do much to prevent Southend time wasting and play should have been brought back moments before Jennings saw red 4/10

Best Moment

Ian Moore scored a cracking goal as did Bas, but I think the general good performance is the factor that pleases the Rovers fans the most.

Worst Moment

The time wasting from Southend players rolling around far too much, one guy was even rolling around in the gravel on the side of the pitch.

Funniest Moment

Some members of the Johnny Kind stand will have been amused when their left back was floored by Kay.  He had shown himself to be arrogant, also having a laugh and a joke with the physio seconds after he was supposedly in agony.

Tranmere Man of the Match

Aaron Cresswell - For me he played superbly and better then Taylor has been playing recently.  It would be harsh to drop him for the next game and he could have easily got a goal as well.

Moore, Jennings & Savage were also immense. Shotton put in an improved performance and despite his mistake Goodison was solid.

Connections

Simon Francis now of Southend spent three happy months on loan at Tranmere three years ago.

Rovers Fans

Our fans created a great atmosphere in the second half and got behind the team.  They deserved to have a winning goal to celebrate.

Southend Fans

A decent amount of them but we didn't here much from them through out.

Summary

A great performance probably our best of the season, deserved a win and if we took our chances it would have been that win.

Entertainment Value

Fantastic game!  Passionate affair between two good sides, two great Rovers goals loads of chances, two red cards, tackles flying in a passionate affair, great advert for League one football.   9/10

I thought the atmosphere in the home end was quieter than usual to be honest despite the excitement the game brought.

As for the referee, you have would have to say that the Players lost their heads too really.

Thanks for doing the Report and Snippets Mark!
