A few weeks ago, in response to a subject initially brought up in the last issue of the Tranmere Fanzine ‘Give Us an R', we asked our readers whether they thought former Rovers Manager Johnny King deserved further recognition than the Stand that already bears his name.
The suggestion of a Statue in his honour was made in that particular edition of the Fanzine as well as the suggestion of naming the Main Stand rather than the smaller Borough Road Stand after the legendary Manager.
The results of the poll were as follows......................
| Question: Does Johnny King Deserve More Recognition? | ||||||
|
Just over two thirds of those who voted thought that Johnny King deserved a Statue at Prenton Park in his honour and a further 13% thought that naming the Main Stand after him rather than the Borough Road would be a fitting honour.
This meant that less than 20% thought that the current situation of the Borough Road being named after John King was sufficient in remembering his services to the Club.
In our latest Site Poll, we ask you who you think is to blame for Rovers recent poor home form having lost the last three matches in the League at Prenton Park so make sure you cast your vote as every vote is important.
We will bring you the results of this poll in a few weeks time.
