one thing you have to take into account is the money we will lose by people not turning up to the game and rather watching it down the pub or at home...
We get £37,500 for the live coverage on tv, and no doubt £9,000 for commentary on BBC Radio Merseyside, in terms of programmes, half time and pre-match snacks, etc... we could lose out.
If that £37,500 is split between both clubs, then it only takes 1000 less people to turn up through the turnstiles before we potentially make a loss because of it.
The plus side is that there will be a lot of people who get a chance to watch how we play football, and hopefully enjoy what they see, so its up to the club to show bluenoses and kopites what they are missing out on
