Ahead of today's FA Cup tie away at Accrington Stanley, Rovers were dealt a blow this morning with the news that they have been given the one tie they would really have wanted to avoid in the area semi-final of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
The Superwhites will have to travel to League One leaders Scunthorpe United just three weeks after the sides meet at Prenton Park in the League and that tie is about as tough as it gets in a bid to reach Wembley for the first time since it's re-building.

Other sides that Rovers could have met were Darlington and Rotherham but Glanford Park is to be the destination.
Recent trips to the the side relegated last season from the Championship, have been eventful affairs with a 1-1 draw in the last meeting and a thrilling 2-1 win for Rovers the season before.
Rovers will also come up against former goalkeeper Joe Murphy and ex-player Nigel Adkins who is Manager of the Iron.
The tie will be played in the week commencing 15th December with ticket details to follow.
